Yet another update, all so fast after eachother…
Well I’ve learned that if you want to achieve something you will always succeed if you just put enough effort to it!
Well i finished the LOD(Level of Detail) function to make the world render a bit better
As shown on both pictures above, closer by the squares have more “lines” connecting to others, this makes nearby terrain having a higher detail.
Next objective will be to insert this system into the excising game! I will update this post A.S.A.P i finished this system

Options menu improvements
Hey hey
Yet another update, last hour I’ve been working on the options menu. its completely working now!
As you can see on the image on the right, i made 5 options.
- Quality – (low,med,high and highest) witch improve the settings like
shadows and physics - Resolution
- Fullscreen – (on or off) makes the user choose to play on fullscreen or window mode
- Back – Returns to the main screen
- Apply – sets these settings and saves them
When the other aspects of the game had improvements i will add more options to the menu, but for now these will do.

My first 3D game
Hey everyone,
So one of the main subjects of my blogs is about the game development.
At this part of the website i will be blogging and sending updates about the progress of the game.
There is a lot that still has to be done, lets list it up.
- Options menu improvement
graphics level, resolution, Show FPS, enable console, Player name etc. - “Geomipmapping”
witch means that the terrain will render the part you look at while you play the game - Texture system improvement
this actually means the computer will render the nearest textures on a bigger resolution than those further away
witch results in better looking environment. - Gravity improvement
When you plat the game right now and you jump it feels like you’re flying. I will be searching for a more realistic gravity - Modeled character
At the end i want to have the playable character to have a good looking model and animations - First Person/Third Person view & switch option
The player should be able to switch on first person or third person view by writing lines in the console - Console
Whilst playing you should be able to draw a “console” to write down commands to debug the game - GUI (Graphical User Interface)
The player obviously needs to see how much ammo he has, what state of health he is etc, this will be visible on the GUI
As you see this is quite a lot, this is just a small part of improvements i want to make on the game before even releasing a pre-alpha test.
Lately I’ve been doing quite a lot on the game like: added menu’s, made a new scene, made new menu improvement for using Xbox controller, mouse and keyboard and new models ofcourse!
In the next few blogs i will be posting about the improvements one the above listed things i want to change/add.
